Dear Parents,

On Monday we welcomed Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Captain Underpants, Harry Potter, Pippi Longstocking and the BFG amongst many other characters. The campus was alive with stories and our passion for reading re-ignited. This can only mean one thing…our annual Primary Book Week! Dressed as Aladdin, I was delighted to be able to share a short story in assembly.  Thank you to all the parents who attended our launch on Monday and supported our many activities throughout the week. Don’t forget, reading is so important for learning not just during book week but throughout the year. Studies have shown that reading with your child helps build relationships and concentration levels as well improving understanding, vocabulary, fluency of writing and stimulation of ideas.

Secondary Students Out and About

The skies were grey and the rain plentiful as we waved Secondary students off on their Duke of Edinburgh adventure this morning. Spirits weren’t dampened however as they were well-equipped and ready for the challenging camping expedition which lies ahead for this weekend. We wish them well and look forward to hearing more on Monday.

Recent adventures have seen students taking challenges in the areas of Mathematics and MUN. I would like to congratulate all the secondary students who have been fabulous ambassadors in the recent FOBISIA and Nord Anglia events. Read more about the Maths FOBISIA event held in Kuala Lumpur here and the MUN in Cambodia here.

Music Festival Concert

BIS Hanoi take the lead in Performing Arts

Our BIS Music department are very excited about the forthcoming inaugural Regional Performing Arts Festival for South East Asia. Starting on Tuesday, we are excited about welcoming 8 other schools from cities such as Bangkok, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Yangon. A global collaboration of musicians, under the expert guidance of Radu Paponnui, a Juilliard alumni and world class conductor cannot fail to impress. Ms. Laura Rea, our Head of Performing Arts is also the Nord Anglia Lead for Juilliard and has worked very hard to bring about this amazing opportunity for our children.

Please come and join us on Friday 5th April at The Grand Concert Hall - Vietnam National Academy of Music, 77 Hào Nam, Ô Chợ Dừa, Đống Đa, Hà Nội. This will be the grand finale of 3 days of workshops and promises to be an amazing celebration of talent.
