Grade 10 students at Northbridge International School Cambodia will this academic year sit exams for Mathematics and English Language and Literature. These online exams are considered cutting edge in assessment and are part of the suite of eAssessments externally moderated by the IB. The IB externally moderates MYP eAssessment and DP examinations.
It was wonderful news to read that in 2018 that the “MYP eAssessment has been awarded Best Use of Summative Assessment and was highly commended for Best Transformational Project at this year’s International e-Assessment Awards organized by the e-Assessment Association.”
The IB's MYP eAssessment wins international award
Here at NISC we have always submitted to the IB our Grade 10 Personal Projects - an IB compulsory requirement for all MYP schools. However, this year we are excited to be able to provide our first steps into the online examinations. It will be even more exciting next academic year when the G10 class of 2021/22 will sit the Math, English and also Science and Individuals & Societies.
Mr Chris (Mathematics Curriculum Leader), Ms Nancy (Language and Literature Curriculum Leader) and their teachers are working to support Grade 10 as they prepare for the mid-May 2021 exams.
The MYP exams are a chance for our students to demonstrate their disciplinary understanding of each subject's key concepts, thinking critically and creatively, and applying it in unfamiliar situations to demonstrate true understanding. The eAssessment uses technology to enhance assessment through the use of media and interactive tools.
