Chris Mahony

Year 13.2 Form Tutor / Teacher of Design and Technology

Chris Mahony holds a BSc (Hons) in New Product Development from the University of Glamorgan and a PGCE from Cardiff Metropolitan University (Design & Technology specialism).

He began his career internationally, accepting a role in the British International School of Riyadh where he enjoyed four years - founding the A Level Product Design course. Having always had a keen interest in education, prior to his PGCE, Chris gained experience teaching EFL in South Korea for one year, and a further year in a special needs school in South Wales as a support assistant. He has a huge passion for his subject and in particular, sustainability.

Outside of school, he enjoys experiencing new cultures, winter sports, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
