Michael Whyte

Year 8.4 Form Tutor / Music Teacher

Mr Whyte holds a B.Ed (Hons) in Music Education from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (now the Royal Conservatoire for Scotland) in the UK.

He has 10 years of experience as a music teacher in both British and international schools where he has led students of all backgrounds to a consistently high standard of musical achievement. In addition to having a firm understanding of music education approaches, Mr Whyte is also a highly skilled pianist and clarinetist. He uses these skills in combination with a passion for curriculum design to create memorable learning experiences both in class and beyond.

In 2016, after years of building and leading a solid base of achievement in Scotland, Mr Whyte moved to Thailand to teach in an international school in Rayong. After a successful 2 year contract there, Mr Whyte has joined the Regents family so that he can continue to inspire young people, meet new colleagues, and contribute his passion and skills in a growth environment. He lives in Pattaya with his wife Lee-Rae.
