Jenny Sherwood

Head of Whole School Learning Support

Jenny Sherwood holds a BA (Hons) in Primary Teaching with QTS (specialising in SEN) from the University of Winchester (UK).

She continued her education by achieving a SENCo qualification and is currently writing her dissertation for her Master Degree in Education. Previously, Jenny has worked as the Head of Inclusion at a British School in Dubai and as a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) in the South of England. She worked within that school for five years, joining as a Newly Qualified Teacher and then working across Years 1 – 6 before qualifying as the SENCo. During this time, her school became part of an academy and Jenny was utilised across both schools to support children with SEND and staff within the school, particularly for developing positive behaviour and attitudes. Jenny has extensive experience of teaching children in Key Stage 2 but also enjoys working in the Early Years and Key Stage 1 as she believes it is a key time to identify children’s additional needs and put support in place to help children to access their learning. Jenny enjoys living in Thailand and working with a dedicated team to create an inclusive environment where children are happy and can achieve. Outside of school, she enjoys photography, music, reading and travel.
