NAIS Dublin has recently been authorised as an MYP school with an incredible 21 commendations. After two days of a virtual verification visit, hosting interviews with teachers, parents and students, Nord Anglia International School Dublin has been officially authorised to deliver the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme.
The authorisation report was incredibly complimentary in terms of how the school has set up, how the curriculum has been designed and of course, the teaching learning that we deliver to our students. Some of our commendations included:
“The IB commends the school for implementing strategies to promote open communication based on understanding and respect.”
“The IB commends teachers for systematically incorporating differentiation for students learning needs and styles into collaborative planning and reflection.”
“The IB commends learning experiences generally allow for students to demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways.”
We are so proud of all our amazing teachers that have helped us through this journey. DP and MYP complete, just PYP to go! We have our PYP visit in February - well on our way to becoming a IB World School offering all three programmes.
The full report on the MYP authorisation from the IB visiting team can be accessed below.
When it comes to finding the right school, there are countless data sources to explore. You can pore over the school’s test scores and university destinations, websites, and social media in search of signs that this could be the place.
But some soul-searching is also needed into your own aspirations. What is it, precisely, that you want for your child, beyond vague aims of them being “happy and successful”? It’s a daunting question, and requires reflection around your ideas about learning, community and perhaps even the nature of a meaningful life.
At Nord Anglia Education schools, we encourage our students not only to learn foreign languages but to think, feel, and experience the world through them. Many of our schools around the world, from the United States to Switzerland and from Vietnam to China, offer a world-class bilingual education.
Bilingualism—the ability to communicate fluently in two languages—helps children learn and grow. At our schools, we understand being bilingual helps students truly excel because it boosts their thinking skills, improves decision-making, and enhances communication. Plus, it helps them appreciate other cultures on a deeper level.
Read on for a closer look at all the benefits of bilingualism.
