Jessie is an experienced and passionate teacher who joined NAIS Pudong in 2014. Influenced by her teaching experience in South Korea, America,Holland and China, she believes that developing students’ critical thinking skills is crucial for learners. In her class, students are encouraged not to be receivers of knowledge and information, but to be inquirers and investigators of the facts and reasons behind the information.
Through a variety of activities, including interviews, role plays, presentations, dramas, and group discussions, students have a better understanding of writers’ opinions, thoughts and feelings embedded in texts and can recognise the diversity of the world. Furthermore, they will become students who can think in different perspectives and strong communicators who can engage well with people in the world.
In her spare time, she likes jogging, reading and travelling.
