Crocheting for the Red Cross

Crocheting for the Red Cross - crocheting-for-the-red-cross
Crocheting for the Red Cross Three Grade 11 students are currently working on a project to raise money for the Red Cross. Read on to find out how you can help!

Grade 11 students, Nina, Robert and Dustin are currently working on a CAS project to raise money for the Red Cross.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) responds quickly and efficiently to help people affected by armed conflict. They also respond to disasters in conflict zones, because the effects of a disaster are compounded if a country is already at war. Emergencies are unpredictable, so their rapid deployment capability is hugely important.

The above mentioned students plan to bake some goodies and to sell self-made crochet teddy bears to raise these funds. Funds received will be immediately transferred and donated to ICRC.

Why handmade teddy bears? This is because each teddy bear is different and unique just like any individual. Teddy bears can acccompany a child. Just like what the Red Cross is doing in a way. They are taking care of the people and accompanying them.

Below are images of teddy bears you could buy. Prices range from 5-20 euros, depending on the size, wool and the time it takes to crochet. Thank you so much in advance for purchasing a teddy and/or sharing it with others.
