NAISR Students Shine at NAE Regional MUN Conference in Madrid

NAISR Students Shine at NAE Regional MUN Conference in Madrid - NAE Regional MUN Conference in Madrid

A group of 10 ambitious high school students recently attended the NAE Regional Model United Nations (MUN) conference in Madrid, embracing this year’s thought-provoking theme: Inclusion: Diversity, Equity, and Human Rights. The event brought together students from across the region to tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges through diplomacy, debate, and collaboration.

Our students delved into complex global issues, representing nations and organisations with professionalism and passion. Through spirited debate, they honed their public speaking and negotiation skills while gaining deeper insight into the importance of inclusivity in shaping equitable and just societies. Topics ranged from ensuring educational access for marginalized communities to addressing gender equality in legislation and protecting fundamental human rights.

The highlight of the conference was seeing four of our students recognized for their exceptional contributions. Maxwell Bernard, Romeo D' Alessandra, Annabella Bos and Andre Üstertuna were chosen for their outstanding research, leadership, and solutions-driven approach. Additionally, Maxwell Bernard and Romeo D' Alessandra were appointed as Chairs of their committee. All delegates are to be commended for their compelling advocacy and collaborative spirit. These accolades reflect not only their preparation and dedication but also their ability to inspire and engage their peers.

The experience proved invaluable, fostering critical thinking, global awareness, and a sense of empowerment. Our students returned home with new friendships, broadened perspectives, and a deeper understanding of the role they can play in building a more inclusive world.

We are immensely proud of their achievements and commitment to tackling global challenges. They are truly the leaders of tomorrow, making a difference today!
