We know that children learn best when they’re happy. That’s why we work tirelessly to create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming school environment, where every student’s emotional and physical needs are supported.
Looking after your child
Our student wellbeing programme is underpinned by our core values, which guide our commitment to your child’s physical health, social development, and emotional resilience. To make sure every student gets the care and attention they need to thrive, we run a broad range of wellbeing initiatives. These include:
- Our Primary and Secondary Student Councils, which give every child a voice and encourage them to take the lead on important issues.
- Our Health, Advisory and Physical Education (HAPE) curriculum, which teaches our students how to look after their physical and emotional wellbeing.
- Our Learning Support Department and Student Services Team – including a social and emotional coach and onsite school nurse – which ensures every child is healthy, well, and content.
- Our English as an Additional Language (EAL) team, which supports students who need additional help with their English.
How can I help?
You know your child best, which is why we work closely with you to make sure they receive the right care and the best opportunities. Here are three things that are helpful to let us know about:
- Any health issues affecting your child (or someone close to them).
- Any challenges affecting your child or your family that might influence their behaviour.
- Any special interests, talents, or hobbies we might not know about.
Of course, we’ll keep in regular contact with you, and provide updates on your child’s progress. Our staff are always available to talk about your child’s wellbeing, too.
