Our 16 to 18-year-olds have the option of studying for the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP).

The globally recognised IB Diploma is a comprehensive, two-year programme. It’s unique because it isn’t based on a particular national education system; instead, it provides a considered balance between global experiences and academic specialisation. This develops the skills required by the world’s best universities and leading employers.

The IBDP cultivates enquiring, driven, and knowledgeable young people, who are determined to change the world for the better.

Each student studies six subject groups: Language and Literature, Language Acquisition, Individuals and Societies, Sciences, Mathematics, and Creative Arts. Three are taken at a higher level and three at a standard level.

Your child will also complete the core programme – Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay, and Creativity, Activity and Service – to achieve their full Diploma.

  • Theory of Knowledge (TOK): a course that explores critical thinking, giving students an understanding of how we learn.
  • The Extended Essay: a 4,000-word independent research project focusing on a specific subject.
  • Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS): a range of activities that develop our students’ creative skills and wellbeing, and support our local community.

Tutor Time
Our Sixth Form students' day kicks-off with Tutor Time and registration at 7:45 am. Our learners engage in relationship-building activities, mindfulness sessions, and opportunities that boost their energy levels, as well as receiving the very best pastoral care.
