Outstanding Experiences

SUCCESS IS MORE THAN ACADEMIC RESULTS
A world of adventure and one-of-a-kind experiences await every student at NAS Dubai.

INSPIRING LEARNING EXPERIENCES

Our varied and exciting curriculum enhances learning inside and outside of the classroom environment. Through offsite trips, our Enrichment Activity Programme (EAPs) and educational visits from curriculum specialists, your child will build skills, explore new interests, and learn self-motivation and problem-solving. In a competitive world, we prepare your child to flourish academically, socially, physically and psychologically.

Whatever their passions and interests, at NAS Dubai every child enjoys experiences that develop their confidence, resilience and creativity, teaching them lessons that will help them succeed in the future.

More about COLLABORATIONS

DISCOVERING TALENTS – IGNITING PASSIONS

At NAS Dubai, students can take part in a huge variety of fun, stimulating clubs and activities after school.  Our collaborations with world-leading institutions help your child discover and foster their natural talents, and our school clubs and teams are fantastic places to develop a competitive drive.
Sports and Athletics
At NAS Dubai, we offer a wide selection of team sports and other physical activities, and students can participate in both competitive and recreational options.
Sports and Athletics
Physical activity is an important part of your child's personal development. As well as keeping students fit and healthy, team and individual sports are an outstanding opportunity to develop confidence, skills, teamwork and dedication.

Sport is one of the key components of our enrichment provision. We provide a high standard of coaching and competition for the best athletes, while enabling students of all abilities to find something they can enjoy.

Highly qualified and experienced external coaches supplement our teaching staff for after-school training in sports like football, gymnastics, basketball, rugby and tennis.

Performing Arts
The performing arts are creative keys that can unlock your child’s imagination and significantly transform their ability to learn.
Performing Arts
At NAS Dubai, we’re passionate about the performing arts. Our students experience dance, drama and music from the age of three right through to Year 13, bolstered by our collaboration with The Julliard School. We strongly believe the performing arts play a crucial role in enabling our students to develop into intelligent, confident and well-rounded global citizens.

Creating, interpreting and improvising are at the core of the Juilliard-Nord Anglia Performing Arts Programme. Through the study of music, dance and drama, students can stretch or surpass the boundaries of traditional education. Every experience in the classroom or studio teaches students to act independently and use their bodies to create and innovate in the moment.

Music
We aim to instil a love of music that will last a lifetime. This programme is supported by our in-house NAS Music Academy, which offers individual instrumental and voice lessons.
Music
From an early age, our students explore the fundamentals of melody, first by learning to play the keyboard, then developing their musical skills and knowledge to be able to identify and understand harmonies. Soon, students are able take part in a wider variety of instrumental lessons, ranging from the piano and cello to the drums and electric guitar, as well as voice lessons, arranged during the day by our NAS Music Academy.
NAS Language Academy
Our NAS Language Academy offers language support and clubs for the five world languages taught at NAS Dubai, as well as the opportunity to study other non-curriculum languages.
NAS Language Academy
Through the NAS Language Academy, students can experience language enrichment activities supporting the five world languages taught at NAS Dubai (Arabic, German, French, Mandarin and Spanish). They can learn new, non-curriculum languages like Hindi, Korean, Dutch and Italian.

Our parent community can also get involved with classes, to support their children as they learn a new language. While this programme supports language learning, it also encourages students to develop an understanding of other cultures and deepens their global perspective.

Academic Enrichment
Through our broad range of academic support and clubs, our students strengthen their skills, deepening their knowledge and academic competencies.
Academic Enrichment
We offer academic enrichment and support activities like Model UN, plus booster sessions for exam year groups. These activities encourage students to develop their understanding of global issues, improve their public speaking skills and explore their academic interests further. They provide support in achieving the best possible IGCSE, A-Level and IBDP scores.
Makerspace
Our variety of digital design, programming and design technology enrichment activities supports our students in expanding their creativity and problem-solving skills.
Makerspace
The Makerspace includes elements like art and digital design, programming and design technology. Our students embrace curiosity and imagination, developing skills designed for the future through enrichment activities like retro-game making, animation, coding, robotics and much more.

AMAZING EXPEDITIONS

At NAS Dubai, our global trips and local excursions give our students life-changing experiences, and help them build friendships that will last a lifetime.
Arusha, Tanzania

New Challenges in a New Culture

Our Tanzania Expedition teaches global responsibility through a service work trip to Tanzania.

Arusha, Tanzania
Unique to NAE students, our Arusha, Tanzania, expedition improves your child’s knowledge of sustainable development and the environment through helping to build a village school. Students learn about their role in a global context, gaining independence and an appreciation for the issues of the world away from home.

Other residential service trips include visits to Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Nepal and Thailand.

Switzerland

A Personal Challenge

Students who take part in the expedition in Les Martinets, Switzerland, test their mettle, developing resilience and growing their teamwork skills.

Switzerland
In Les Martinets, Switzerland, the personal Challenge Expedition takes place in the breath-taking mountain scenery of the Swiss Alps. Students hike through the incredible landscape, working in teams on navigation challenges, stopping to cook meals in the open air on the way.

Of course, the whole expedition is led by highly trained guides. Residential trips like this are truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, giving students the chance to experience something entirely new and make friends for life while they do it.

UNICEF Summit, New York

Global Changemaking

Selected student ambassadors jet off to New York to take part in the UNICEF summit every year, including Model UN.

UNICEF Summit, New York
A select number of students head to New York to demonstrate how NAS Dubai students are addressing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals as part of Nord Anglia’s annual Global Challenge. They join workshops, seminars and debates, and can even take part in speaking opportunities at the UN’s High-Level Political Forum (HLPF). Students also attend a Model UN event and even embark on a trip to the UN headquarters in NYC.
Dubai Excursions

Staying Local

There’s a world of learning and wonder right on our doorstep – and we take full advantage of our local area with a series of educational excursions.

Dubai Excursions
Our beautiful, diverse location gives us a chance to regularly take learning beyond the classroom. We take our students on overnight trips to Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Oman. These adventurous trips foster environmental stewardship and outdoor adventure, and develop team-building skills.

Other local trips see students visit destinations of cultural and historical interest in relation to their subject study: the Gitex Artificial Intelligence summit, Art Dubai, the Formula 1 circuit at Yas Marina and Dubai Opera, where children explore performing arts experiences from a creative and commercial perspective, to name a few.

Festivals and STEAM Challenges

Education in Action

Every year Nord Anglia hosts large-scale sports, music, and STEAM festivals, as well as Model United Nations events in which more than 25,000 students participate.

Festivals and STEAM Challenges
At NAS Dubai, we host our own STEAM festivals inviting other schools from the UAE to participate, as well as encouraging our students to take part in local international competitions. These competitions could be based on anything from robotics to innovation and entrepreneurial explorations.

Our collaboration with MIT puts design thinking at the heart of our approach, inspiring creativity and curiosity in our students through in-school challenges. We also offer an annual visit to MIT, led by experts from the university.

Our award-winning DICE (Design, Innovation, Computing and Enterprise) curriculum, helps students to focus on the Four Cs: creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication.

Performing Arts

Making Noise

Our students can attend a Performing Arts Programme with Juilliard, plus internships with Dubai Opera.

Performing Arts
Each of our Performing Arts programmes is led by an expert instructor from Juilliard and gives students the opportunity to dive into their chosen Arts major, while developing their technical skills and artistic capacities. The programme welcomes students from around the world to join a global community of artists.

Our affiliation with Dubai Opera lets students access private dress rehearsals, behind the scene experiences and exclusive workshops with world-class performers. Some students even have the opportunity to apply for summer internships throughout the various departments at Dubai Opera.

BUILDING CONFIDENCE

WELLBEING AND RESILIENCE

At NAS Dubai, wellbeing is about doing good and feeling good. Wellbeing and resilience are at the heart of our curriculum because we know that confident, motivated students don’t just perform better – they’re also happier.

We seek to foster wellbeing across our whole school community, including learning opportunities for parents and essential professional development for our teachers and staff.

Our approach to teaching wellbeing, linked to service learning, is unique to our school.

OUR SOCIAL PURPOSE

We believe that students with a global worldview have competitive advantages in our increasingly interconnected world. So, we look to inspire confident, creative, global citizens with a vision to change the world for the better.

We know our students want to make their mark on the world and we work hard to empower them to do so. Each year, our students support many local causes through activities with UNICEF and on the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Locally, our students learn through local outreach programmes by fundraising or volunteering, which gives them first-hand experience of driving change.
