PRIMARY CURRICULUM

Our Primary curriculum nurtures confident, curious, and optimistic learners who make remarkable progress. Following the English National Curriculum, which is adapted to meet the needs of our diverse international community, our students enjoy a stimulation and academically enriching education.

OUR PRIMARY CURRICULUM

At Primary, our 5 to 11-year-olds follow the English National Curriculum, which is adapted to our unique international setting. Our curriculum is respected around the world, thanks to the careful structure of each Key Stage, which lays the foundations for a lifelong educational journey.

Both academically rigorous and flexible, our curriculum focuses on the core subjects of English, maths, and science, while also expanding knowledge music, art, drama, humanities, and languages. We also place a clear emphasis on personal, social, health, and economic (PSHE) education.

LOWER PRIMARY

Our broad and balanced Key Stage 1 curriculum includes English, maths, science, Arabic, languages, geography, history, art and craft, music, PE (including swimming), health education, and ICT. 

Your child’s teachers will create a rich and stimulating environment where they’ll develop their language and literacy skills, too. Engaging experiences will develop their interest in reading with fluency, accuracy, understanding, and enjoyment.

In maths and science, real-world experiences bring theoretical concepts to life. Our students also link these subjects to other areas of the curriculum, immersing themselves in cross-curricular learning and exciting projects and topics.

UPPER PRIMARY

At Key Stage 2, we continue to nurture our children’s natural curiosity, supporting them to become increasingly independent and confident learners.

Your child will begin to explore subjects in more depth and make use of our specialist facilities. Subjects include English, maths, science, languages, Arabic, humanities, ICT, music, drama, dance, art, PE, social studies, and DICE subjects (design, innovation, computing, and enterprise).

Our teachers will personalise learning to your child's needs and abilities. They’ll also extend and challenge, encouraging them to take risks and grow in intellectual confidence, all within a safe and happy environment.

World languages

Our Primary students study Arabic and a second language of their choice - French, German, Mandarin, or Spanish. This is the perfect way to immerse themselves in new cultures, which are brought to life by our specialist teachers.
