Enrichment Activity Programme

To achieve their full potential, we believe that our students need to be challenged outside the classroom as well as inside. We offer a wide range of Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) after school and we encourage all children to play an active part in our programme.

Co-Curricular Activities
Co-Curricular Activities
At NAS Dubai we offer a range of enrichment activities ranging from mindfulness colouring, fitness, skiing, sailing and Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. The enrichment programme is named Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) and is run by our teaching team after school hours.

Students in Primary have the opportunity to experience a range of activities under the guidance of our teaching and teaching assistant teams. The students can take part in clubs that promote our 4 Cs; collaboration, creativity, communication and critical thinking such as art, pirate club, ski club or Just Dance!

Our Secondary students can further their school experience with clubs such as chess, drama, choir, Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award or fitness.  The CCAs allow students to join their peers that are not based on the curriculum.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award
NAS Dubai helps students engage with their environment and interact with other societies through the highly successful Duke of Edinburgh International Award.

The award includes the completion of a service based activity, a skill component and the completion of a particular course of physical activity. In addition, a multi night qualifying adventurous journey is undertaken.

NAS Dubai firmly believes that a student should experience a holistic education. Students gain hard and soft skills that they might not have previously been exposed to such as navigation, cooking, camping, perseverance, independence, confidence, self-sufficiency, and an opportunity to experience something new.

The Duke of Edinburgh International Award expeditions take place in diverse locations such as Ras Al-Khaimah, Oman and the Swiss Alps.

NAS Dubai readily offers the Duke of Edinburgh Award at either Bronze, Silver or Gold. Students in Year 9 who are at least 13 years and 9 months take the Bronze award, Year 10 and 11 students take the Silver award and Years 12 and 13 the Gold award. Each award level is progressively more challenging and upon completion of each level they have the opportunity to progress to the next award.
