Swimming Gala a Huge Success

17 september 2015

Friday 11 September saw BISS host the first BISS Lions Swimming Championships with 130 entries from Year 1 to 13. Swimmers took part in a range of events that they will train for and compete in throughout this year in Shanghai and internationally.

This gave all of our swimmers a chance to experience a competitive formal swimming gala and to achieve their first times of the year. Many swimmers raced in 5 events in a short space of time and showed great determination and focus to achieve personal best times and improvements across their strokes.

Swimmers were cheered on by a huge number of parents and teachers and enjoyed the experience of competing for the first time in their home pool.  The team is now looking forward to starting the new training programme at BISS and working on improving times, technique and stamina.

Thank you and well done to all those who competed and came to watch and help.
