Year 1 Christmas Celebration

14 december 2016

On Tuesday Year 1 excitedly got ready for their Christmas Celebration by making lots of different decorations to hang up in our Year 1 corridor.

They especially enjoyed experimenting with clay. They rolled, cut and kneaded it into different shapes. They then used different equipment when drawing a Christmas picture onto their shape. They were able to change the surface of the clay to make fantastic Christmas decorations.

After the preparations were complete we were lucky enough to be visited by Santa himself! Year 1 sat beautifully as he read us a story about- The Little Reindeer. They then got a chance to ask Santa questions and tell him what we would like for Christmas. He has asked us all to write him a letter.

After our visit from Santa the children got the chance to dance, play party games and decorate a yummy cupcake!
