Captain of the Secondary swim team and now the current fastest international student in Shanghai Daniel Tafelski writes of his overwhelming pride at seeing his Primary counterparts in action on Saturday.

"Congratulations to our young swimmers who attended the Rocket Science Swim meet, many of them completely new to the idea of swimming in a 50 meter pool, yet all of them successful in achieving new personal bests and doing their best.

I know they have been training hard every single session, being diligent and hardworking swimmers that are eager to learn from their coaches and improve.

On Saturday, we could see their hard work really pay off as they won heats, cheered on their teammates and learned from new experiences. I am very proud of the primary team that represented BISS Puxi and the Lions this weekend and believe they acted as extremely mature, intelligent and well behaved swimmers.

Well done to Sophie Elliot, Chih Chi Sun, Raphael Kam, Finn Bastock, Beau Bastock Hou Dren Yuen, Matthew Yick, Maxime Bovee, Zoe Jin, Eva Deng, Grace Elliot, Linnea Lundin Skarp, Philia Bovee, Joseph Li and Eugene Kam; you have all done a spectacular job this weekend and I am fully certain there will be more of such a great standard of swimming and team spirit to come in future from all of you!”
