Working with our friends from the Huaxin Rehabilitation Centre

27 oktober 2017

On Friday 13 October we held another of our Huaxin Sensory Workshops. Children and parents from the Huaxin Rehabilitation Centre came to BISS Puxi for a morning of fun activities focusing on different senses.

Fifteen of our Key Stage Three students led a variety of stations, supervised by four of our IB students. It was great to see the children from Huaxin engaging with the different activities, and to see our students interacting and supporting the young people in our community. We are all very much looking forward to the next workshop!

Quote from Leela Rao (Year 8 Student):

The Sensory Workshop was a great experience! It was amazing to see the children running around, playing and listening to music, blowing bubbles and just enjoying themselves in general. It was an amazing atmosphere and a great opportunity to give a helping hand and say hi! Next year I would definitely like to do this again as the result is the best feeling!

Quote from Iwan Jones (Year 8 Student):

To see the smile on the children’s faces when they saw the activities we had prepared was great. I would recommend this workshop to other BISS Puxi students because I found it emotionally moving.
