Making Delicious Biscuits

10 november 2017

The Reception children have been very busy perfecting their cooking skills!

They have been learning how to safely use different equipment when making delicious biscuits! We were impressed with how well they were able to cut the butter into small chunks and use the scales to weigh the different ingredients.

The children have also been learning lots of new vocabulary. They especially enjoyed saying the words mix, stir, squash and kneed when getting the dough ready. They then came up with lots of words to describe the dough when moulding it into different shapes.

The biscuits were a huge success and the children couldn’t believe that they were able to make them from real ingredients and decorate them before enjoying eating them.
