The First BISS Animation Film Festival

31 mei 2017

On Saturday 17 June 2017, BISS will host its first Animation Film Festival! This is being organised by some of our Year 10 Media Studies students.

We will be screening both new and classic animated films from several different countries - attendees will be able to choose which films they want to see.  The event will run from 10.30am until 6.30pm and attendees can choose to join us for the whole day, or just for one or two screenings. Screenings will run concurrently and will be based in our Secondary Auditorium, the Studio Theatre and the Media Room (S237).

Films will include Moana, My Neighbour Totoro and Inside Out - a full schedule will be released next week.

This will be a FREE event, though tickets are required for entry - these will be available from Secondary and Primary reception next week. We will also be selling a FOOD ticket - this will include entry as well as lunch, which we will organise from local vendors.  Attendees are also strongly encouraged to bring snacks. Our Tanzania group will also be there selling light refreshments as part of their fundraising to support our projects in Shamba Kipara.

The event is open to secondary students, their friends, parents and staff. Year 5 & 6 Primary students are very welcome to attend but must be accompanied by a parent or secondary-age (or older) sibling.

We will publish the full festival schedule, list of films and provide further details in next week's Newsletter and school blog.

Please put this into your calendar now and contact Mr Ekkel (Head of Film and Media) for additional details.

See you at the movies!

Rus Ekkel, Head of Film and Media
