Animation Film Festival Review

21 juni 2017

On June 17, 2017, the first animation festival was held at BISS. Animated films from all over the world were screened in school from early in the morning to 6:30 in the evening. 12 films were shown in total, so there were many to choose from.

A team of students from Year 10 and 11 along with the support of students on the Tanzania Expedition arrived early on Saturday to prepare food and beverages, as well as putting up signs around the school to direct visitors to each of the screening rooms.

Students of all ages were welcomed, as a range of different movies was shown; from the new Disney hit Moana, to the Oscar winning Spirited Away, all screening rooms had smiling students enjoying films.

Overall the event was a success, since we did not have much time to promote the event during exam week, but still managed to get around 50 enthusiastic visitors which was more than what we had expected. And with a small team running the event, it went fairly smoothly.

We hope to run this event again next year!
