PET News

Following a year of successful events attended by our ever generous parents the Parent Event Team (PET) were once again able to make a donation to The Heart to Heart Charity in Shanghai.

The child we sponsored for heart surgery is currently in Yodak Cardio-Thoracic Hospital in Shanghai.  He is Chen Mingyang - a three year old boy from Hunan province. Chen has been ill since he was 10 months old and his parents who are factory workers struggle to pay his increasing medical bills. He had his much needed open heart surgery on May 17 and has spent the last five weeks in ICU recovering. It was touch and go for a long time, but he seems to be getting better now.  He has finally been transferred to the Recovery Unit.  He is definitely a miracle child.

Members of the PET visited Chen Minyang and his family today. They were overcome with appreciation for the donation we were able to make. The PET is thrilled to be able to make a donation for such a life changing event with the assistance of our wonderful group of parents.

We wish you all a very happy summer holiday and look forward to welcoming you to our coffee morning for all parents on the 1st day of school and then again on the 9th September at our ever popular Welcome Back Party.
