Class Party This week we will be having our class Christmas party on Tuesday 1 December. As it is a special day, you may send your child to school in their favourite party clothes. As the party this year will be low key, we do not need any parent volunteers. However we look forward to seeing you at the Christmas Concert on Wednesday 9 December. Thank you so much for everyone who is bringing in donations of cupcakes and juice- the children will be so excited!
- Christmas concert costume: All Pre Nursery children will be dressed up as little stars for our Christmas Concert on Wednesday 9 December. Please name and send in a black top, a pair of black trousers and black shoes in a labelled bag no later than Tuesday 8 December. Feel free to bring the costume in sooner if you have it available.
- Christmas Holidays: The last day of term will be on 11 December. We will have just over three weeks of holiday, returning to school on 6 January. We hope you all have a safe and wonderful holiday season!
Themed Learning – Merry Christmas
As the Christmas holidays get closer we have decided to learn more about this festive season. Our classrooms will be bustling with energy as we start making our Christmas tree, decorate the wrapping paper to put on our presents, and make special necklaces and headbands for the Christmas Concert. At our Christmas Party on Tuesday we will be having a visit from a very special guest- Santa Claus! We will wish him a Merry Christmas and show him what a lovely time we have at our party. The children will begin writing their letters to Santa and posting them in the special Pre-Nursery mailbox.
We will continue singing the songs for our Christmas Concert- feel free to practise them at home together!
- Jingle bells
- We wish you a merry Christmas
- Little snowflake
- When Santa Claus got stuck up the Chimney
- Twinkle Twinkle
- 5 Christmas buns in a baker shop

As we design our headbands for the winter show we will be looking at mathematical concepts related to size, shape and position. The children will be responsible for their own learning when making decisions about how their special headband will look. What shapes will go on our headband? Where do we want to put each star? How many stars can you count? Which star is bigger? Which star is smaller?
Key Vocabulary: more/many, less, count, where, here, there, over, under
Due to the approaching Christmas festival, we are going to learn songs and words about Christmas. What special things can you see during the Christmas? We will also learn “Twinkle twinkle little star” in mandarin.

Jules is opgetogen.
