LEARNING THEME : Christmas

Our learning theme will continue as Chirstmas this week but will revolve around our wonderful concert. We have been practising hard and are  excited to see you there. We would like to ask that all parents are in Stage One by  9.15am  at the latest and we will bring the children in just after this for a prompt start. Thank you in advance for your co-operation with this!

Key Vocabulary: Christmas, Santa, presents,  winter, joy.

Literacy and Communication

As well as practising  songs for the concert, we will be  learning about the tradition of sending Christmas cards.   We will invite each child to make their own special card, and they will be able to add their personal message inside. Who will they choose to give their card to? What message will they write inside? We will talk about how marks can carry meaning, and model writing messages in Christmas cards.

Key Vocabulary: mark, pen, write, who, message

DUTCH

Papa en Jules gaan een kerstboom kopen in de boomkwekerij.  Wanneer ze thuis komen kan de boom niet door de deur.  Hij is te groot!  Wat nu?

We kleden ons lekker warm aan voor het winterseizoen en versieren de kerstboom in de klas.  Prettige kerstdagen!

Door een wisseling in het lessenrooster gaan we vanaf deze week op dinsdag  naar bibliotheek. Onze excuses voor het ongemak.  Dank  voor uw medewerking hierbij.

MANDARIN

We are going to review the topic of Christmas and make a photo card about Christmas for mummy and daddy.

Key words: 圣诞节(sheng dan jie- Christmas), 圣诞老人(sheng dan lao ren-Santa), 礼物(li wu-presents).

Song:小星星(twinkle twinkle).
