Reception Class Teacher

Amanda graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom with a BA (hons) Degree in Primary Education. She began her teaching career in London, where she taught in an inner London School before beginning her international teaching journey. 

Amanda has taught Early Years in Moscow, Russia and Pattaya, Thailand. She enjoys working closely with young children and their families, building strong social interactions, developing early core skills and promoting a love of education from an early age. Amanda is excited to move to BISS Puxi and continue to meet a wide range of nationalities and cultures. She enjoys working with colleagues to provide outstanding educational opportunities both in the classroom and within the wider life of the school.

Amanda is the youngest of five children and grew up in a large family. Caring for her nephews and nieces had a big impact upon Amanda’s life and instilled her passion for educating and nurturing young children.

Amanda She has a strong interest in living a healthy lifestyle and enjoys running and entering running events. She also attends the gym and enjoys creating her own healthy recipes. Amanda is looking forward to learning Mandarin this year and to explore the beautiful, vibrant city of Shanghai.
