Hannah Shad

Primary Class Teacher

Hannah attended Edge Hill University where she completed a Bachelors degree with Honours in Primary Education with QTS and a specialism in English. Whilst at university, Hannah developed an interest in teaching children with English as an additional language and therefore set out to teach internationally. After graduating, Hannah moved to Madrid, Spain where she was part of the team who started up a brand new British school in Madrid and in this time, she co-ordinated Key Stage 1 and developed the literacy scheme in the school.

Following this, Hannah moved on to an established British school in Madrid where she taught Year 1 to continue her professional development and learn from others in her team.

Hannah has a holistic view of education and believes it is important to develop children both personally and intellectually. She thrives on helping children develop their personalities, social skills and confidence. Hannah likes to make learning real and enjoyable for children and is very much looking forward to doing this at The British school of Shanghai!

Hannah is from Halifax, West Yorkshire in England. She is a very happy, positive and talkative person who loves to meet new people and have new experiences. Hannah loves drama, singing and food! She is moving to Shanghai with her partner Max. This is their first time in Asia and they are both looking forward to exploring together!
