Freely Foster is a qualified teacher in both China and the UK. She graduated from South China Normal University in 2005 with the equivalent of a first class degree in English Education for Primary and Secondary Schools. Freely taught at a prestigious Chinese boarding school in Guangdong province for two years, before relocating to the UK in 2007. She gained her British teaching qualification at Canterbury University, Kent in 2009, through the UK government's Overseas Trained Teachers Programme. Before moving back to Shanghai, she spent four years teaching in London and the South East of England.
Freely is fluent in both English and Mandarin. She has been teaching in Early Years at BISS Puxi since 2011. Freely is loving, firm but fair and treats every child as if they were her own. She has extensive experience of catering for the needs of children whose English is their additional language. She is passionate about cultivating children’s imaginations and love for stories through both the Helicopter Stories and the Talk for Writing approach.
In her spare time, Freely enjoys yoga and photography. She loves to travel and enjoys learning about the history and culture of the places she visits. Above all, she enjoys spending time with her lovely family.
