    Year 6 Class Teacher and Year Leader

    Petrina Booth

    Petrina trained at Roehampton University, UK, for a Bachelor of Education degree with a music specialism. She has lived in China since August 2014, with her first three years at The British School of Beijing, Sanlitun; another Nord Anglia Education school. Since joining Nord Anglia, she has completed the Middle Leadership Programme including a research project for integrating iPad technology which supported her role as a Computing subject leader. Petrina has also been part of the partnership for developing the STEAM subjects with MIT in Boston. She joined BISS Puxi to build on her experience with STEAM and is now the subject lead for the Primary STEAM Curriculum.

    Jack Osbourne

    Jack is passionate about learning and he endeavours to provide all pupils with a rich and enjoyable education. He studied at Bath Spa University and attained his PGCE in 2014. After graduating, Jack taught Year 5 for 3 years whilst also holding the role of PE Coordinator. With his wife, Rose, Jack moved to Dubai where he taught in Year 6 and was UKS2 Leader, as well as PE Coordinator. After an enjoyable experience teaching in the Middle East, Jack was delighted to accept the position at BISS Puxi. Jack is greatly enjoying his experience in Shanghai to date, and he is passionate about improving standards of Reading across Primary in his new role as English Curriculum Leader.

    Sarah Harper

    Sarah graduated from the University of Manchester, UK, with a BSocSci degree in Sociology. After spending time in Africa, Sarah began her teaching career in a Year 4 classroom in a school in Derby, England, gaining her PGCE through the ‘Teach First’ programme. She held a number of positions of responsibility including Lead Teacher, Year 6 Lead and Science Coordinator. In 2015 Sarah decided to move to London and took on a role a large school in central London, continuing to teach in Year 6, followed by a move in 2017 to Shanghai. She has been heavily involved in the Performing Arts during her career, leading Year 6 Leavers musicals and choreographing secondary productions and other dance and drama performances.

    Robert is an experienced and enthusiastic educator who has had the opportunity to expand his professional horizons and practise his teaching in a variety of diverse classroom dynamics and unique cultures, such as Ireland, China, Mexico and Macau. Having been awarded his B.Ed from St.Patrick’s College, Dublin, in 2010, he has taught at both upper and lower primary levels, utilising various curricula to enhance the learning experience of each of his young learners.
