Staff Profile: Irene Bai

Irene Bai

Mandarin Teacher

Irene graduated from Hua Zhong Normal University where her major was Chinese Language and Literature. Her teaching career began in a public high school in Shanghai where she worked as a Chinese teacher. 

Subsequently, she was selected by the Chinese Ministry of Education to teach Chinese in Singapore at a public school. Since returning from Singapore, she has worked in Shanghai teaching Chinese for the IB diploma programme and IGCSE programme.

Irene has a wide range of interests, including music, reading. She has a curious nature and she is always trying to learn something from the people who are around her.

All of this she has done because she wants to work more effectively in an international environment.
