Topic Learning with 1C

13 March 2014

This term the children in 1C have been very busy learning about how 'chocolate' melts under heat!

This term the children in 1C have been very busy learning about ‘Chocolate’. One of their favourite activities has been one where Miss Boon gave them all a piece of chocolate to hold tightly in their hands while she read a Michael Rosen poem all about chocolate. At the end of the poem the children opened their hands and were delighted with the result. The chocolate had melted in their hands. The children linked their science learning by identifying that chocolate turns from a solid to a liquid when we add heat. 1C’s best part of the poem was cleaning up their hands. Yummy!
