Here at BIS Abu Dhabi lots is going on in the Arts! We are seeing creativity all day long in Music, Drama and Art and students are really making exciting progress!
During Term 1 the ECA’s did some great work, and we are delighted to have shared the talents of our students at our Arts Café this week. The Arts Café concept was to informally share the brilliant work of our students and bring the arts together in a casual setting. As a team the Creative Arts department felt we wanted a way to develop the students confidence and pride in their work while sharing it with their parents and the school community.
This Tuesday was the first of these events and it was a lovely evening! We were delighted to see so many people here to share in our students’ successes and the atmosphere in the hall was electric.
In order to be reflective everyone was invited to share their thoughts on Arts, the performance and pieces on display, the event and Arts here at Bis Abu Dhabi, by attaching a comment card to our Tree of Community. As Arts is such a reflective process it is important to share our creativity and feedback with each other and the comments were lovely and interesting, and some had brilliant ideas for the future!
The work in the Gallery included GCSE Mock Exam, IB pieces, Primary and Secondary class work and ECA work. The performances included Beats and Bobs, Vocal Group, Secondary Drama club, BISAMBABAND, and some very talented soloists.
It was lovely to come together and share our creativity. We already can’t wait for the next one!
