Our Wake&Shake (Primary students and parents) and Fit Camp (Secondary students only) programme has well and truly got underway as part of our PE team’s provision of fitness activities.
For our Primary students and parents, there is an opportunity to participate in our ‘Wake and Shake’ sessions held by Mr Cochlin in the hall, where parent and child can work out together in a fun environment carrying out a wide range of exercises including dance, aerobics, body pump and other enjoyable types of training. This session is primarily about inspiring our younger students to keep fit and healthy, and with the added support from parents we can instil these positive habits into their everyday life.
During the same time, Secondary school students have an outstanding opportunity to attend the Fit Camp session with Mrs Lowe. Covering similar aims, however also looking at particular aspects of fitness in the aim of conditioning students and best preparing them physically to compete for school teams.
As with all forms of exercise, it is also a chance for all our students who attend to start their school day focussed, re-energised and in a ‘state of readiness to learn’.
We hope to see you at our next session!!
