The British International School Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint a Director of Music to join a well-established, supportive team in a highly successful and expanding school.

About the Role
The Music Department follows the UK National Curriculum up to IGCSE and is aiming to offer Music within the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in future years. The Music Department covers the whole school and the appointee will be expected to teach Music at all levels, including Primary. The Director of Music will lead the department in all areas to ensure the highest possible outcomes for students, supporting colleagues to teach lessons of the highest quality and have a focus on continual improvement.
There is an extensive programme of choral and instrumental activities. The Director of Music will also take the lead in expanding our curriculum and extra-curricular activities as part of our Partnership with the Juilliard School of Performing Arts. It is essential that the appointee maintains a collaborative approach to supporting other Performing Arts colleagues and contributing to the team as a whole.
