Kenken International Championship

Kenken International Championship Kenken International Championship is the GCC’s largest mathematical puzzle competition. Kenken is a grid-based numerical puzzle that uses the basic Math operations— addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division and also challenges one’s logic and problem-solving skills. Kenken International Championship (KIC) is the GCC’s largest mathematical puzzle competition. Kenken is a grid-based numerical puzzle that uses the basic Math operations; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and also challenges one’s logic and problem-solving skills.

This year, KIC hosted its 4th Edition in UAE with over 300 schools and 25,000 students participating in the championship.

KIC is a multi-level championship for all age groups. The students compete with peers of the same age group at each level. There are four stages to the Championship (School level, Emirate level, National level and International level).  

Eleven students from BIS Abu Dhabi qualified for the National Championships, and this weekend they took to Dubai to compete against all the other students that were selected from the other six Emirates.

All of our students performed extremely well, with everyone finishing in the top 300 on National Level, and top 50 in Abu Dhabi.  

Yuvraj in Year 6 finished 1st in Abu Dhabi and 10th in the UAE in his age group!
