The school year is going fast and there is still so much to happen for this school term, let alone the rest of the year!
PTA Coffee Morning – Tuesday 12th November
The next PTA Coffee Morning will be held next Tuesday 12th November at 8am, in The Hub.
In the lead-up to the World Kindness Day at school, we ask that you come to the coffee morning wearing yellow. We will be making a 'paper chain of kindness' during the morning, whilst learning from the Secondary School Librarian, Kat, about the library as a resource and how parents can get involved.
We will also continue to sell second-hand uniforms and books.
We looks forward to seeing you there, as we really do enjoy meeting so many of you at these events.
Taste of Abu Dhabi
Please join us for the great event that is the Taste of Abu Dhabi, this Thursday 7th November at at DU Arena. Look for the BIS Abu Dhabi crowd together with the 'blue hand' (photo below) to let you know where we are. Tickets can be purchased online, and are also usually available from the DU Box Office on the night too.
The PTA are getting more social, in and out of the school surroundings. We would love to hear from you if you have a social activity you would like to put forward, or you would like to help organise a quiz, etc. Please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you to those people that have already started to get a great social calendar together, it is going to be great!
PTA Member Benefits and Promotions
As part of the PTA network we are happy to offer discounts and benefits to PTA members. If you have a company or offering you would like to put forward, please get in touch with us on email@example.com. We do advise that the offer/ promotion needs to be a good one and beneficial to members. All offers will need to be considered and approved by the PTA.
PTA Volunteer Meeting – 21st November
All parents are invited to come to the PTA Volunteer Meeting on Thursday 21st November at 8am in Forum 2. It will be an opportunity to find out what we are putting in the PTA Calendar and if you would like to be a part of it.
If you are a class representative, we would love to see you at this meeting as a chance to get involved and help to promote upcoming events we are working on.
During this meeting we will also start to plan International Day, so if you are wanting your country to take part, please do come along.
We are gratefully accepting donations of board games for indoor play and library use; all ages would be great. Please leave these with reception.
Do you have a story about your time at the school you would like to share? Have you been at the school close to or when it first opened? If you do have any stories or pictures please get in touch and share them with us: firstname.lastname@example.org
