Student Profile: Georgia, Year 4

16 April 2019

I love meeting new people, learning and hanging out with my friends. Every time I come to school it feels like I’m coming to a huge family.

  • Student Profile: Georgia, Year 4

Our student profile this week is Georgia, a student in Year 4. Georgia loves nature, is on the Girls’ Football Team as well as Little Stars and talks about the other experiences she has had at BIS Abu Dhabi:

My name is Georgia and I am in year 4. I am 8 years old and was born in Scotland. I joined BIS Abu Dhabi in FS1 in 2013. My two brothers joined in 2012 and they are now in Year 10 and Year 8. I love nature. My favorite subjects are Art and Science. I have a really nice teacher, Mr Scott Jackson. He is very funny and is really good at Maths and is in charge of Maths. I have had a good teacher every year I’ve been at BIS Abu Dhabi.

I love meeting new people, learning and hanging out with my friends. Every time I come to school it feels like I’m coming to a huge family.

I had a big seizure at school in FS1. My Mum and Dad took me to a special Doctor called a Neurologist and she told us I have epilepsy. She gave me some medicine to take two times a day every day to stop the seizures and I still take it.  All the teachers and the teaching assistants, nurses and everyone have been really kind and helpful at school. It doesn’t stop me from doing anything at school. I have lots of chances to try new things, to try hard and to do things I enjoy. Some of the things I have done since being at BIS Abu Dhabi:

  • I was voted by the other children to be a School Counselor and go to meetings in Year 1
  • Playing on the Girls’ Football Team
  • Little Stars
  • Service Stars
  • Playing on the Netball Team
  • Played in ADISSA
  • Been on lots of cool School Trips
  • Learnt a lot in a lot of subjects
  • Had lots of Awards and Certificates
  • Came 2nd two years in a row in the BISAD Duathlon

I am so lucky to be at BIS Abu Dhabi. I am having lots of opportunities and I hope the things I am learning will help me to be a vet one day in the future.
