G’day! My name is Mitchell and I’m 12 years old. I am from Sydney Australia, and have lived in the Gold Coast for the past 6 years. But don’t be fooled, this is not my first time in UAE.

In 2008 when I was just 2 years old, I left Sydney to embark on a new journey to Abu Dhabi and we stayed there for only 1 year, until we moved to Dubai and stayed there for 2 years. After that we actually came back to Abu Dhabi and stayed for another 2 years, unfortunately my time was over in UAE and was time to move again. I was so sad to move away because I really loved UAE.

So, we moved on and lived in Bali Indonesia for a bit, and then came back to Australia. It was hard adjusting back to normal again, but I started to get the hang of it. After living in Australia for 6 years, we got the all clear and it was time to move back to Abu Dhabi again!
BIS Abu Dhabi has been an exceptionally great experience for me and in fact probably the best. Within a couple of days, I met a very welcoming group of friends that made me feel like I was a part of this amazing school around me. My favourite subjects are Music, Science, PE and Art, but the one I find most interesting is Music. I found myself in a whole new world when I first played the piano it was honestly just so soothing to me, it brought me to life.
