Year 8 & 9 Coffee and Curriculum Evening

19 September 2019

  • curriculum

On Wednesday 2nd October, we are hosting a Year 8 & 9 Coffee and Curriculum evening for parents at which our Heads of English (Ms Sara Brazier), Maths (Mr Alan Grant) and MFL (Mr Eric Depose)  will give short talks on the Year 8 & 9 curriculum in their subjects. We will also have Mr Daniel Givens, the lead teacher for Duke of Edinburgh, available to answer any questions you may have. The evening will provide information on curriculum content, home learning, assessment, monitoring and support, as well as stretching and extending our more able students in each subject.

The aim of the evening is to share with parents the core skill set needed for success within the subjects. Heads of Department will deliver a session using a variety of resources that you will be able to take home with you and use to further develop your child’s ability. We believe that the partnership of parent, teacher and child is crucial for progress and success.

This session will begin with coffee in the Drama Studio on the second floor at 4.45pm.  Please click here to register your attendance and to enable us to have enough resources ready.

Ben Stanier, Head of Year  8
