Some of the most interesting initiatives happening in international schools today were recognised at the International School Awards ceremony held in London on January 20th at the Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden, in London. There were over 250 nominations from the leading international schools across the World, and our school had been shortlisted as 1 of 3 schools for a Community Initiative award for a sustainability/architecture project completed by Year 6 in the last academic year.
We are only 1 of 2 Nord Anglia Schools represented at this prestigious event which further enhances our reputation as one of the leading international schools in the world. There are an estimated 10,000 international schools around the world teaching over 5 million students. The International School Awards aim is to recognise and raise awareness of some of the very best initiatives being implemented by international schools today and it gives me great pleasure to announce to you that we won!
A huge thank you to Apostolos Kyriazis for his drive, determination and passion which has placed us on this world stage, and to the talented staff and students who produced some outstanding work. As always, we are immensely proud of our students and school and this success highlights again, the strength of our community.
