The British International School Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint an outstanding Secondary Inclusion Coordinator to join a well-established, supportive team in a highly successful and expanding school.
You will have experience of working with students with a range of academic, social, emotional and behavioural needs and will be passionate about supporting students with additional educational needs to make excellent progress. You will have a positive mindset and will always do your very best for students, for parents and for colleagues. You will be organised, pro-active and an excellent communicator who will work well with all members of the community. You will provide outstanding support to our students and will participate fully in the extra-curricular aspects of school life. You will be responsible for encouraging and developing further our culture of inspiration, enjoyment and success. Keen to collaborate and share your expertise, you will have good interpersonal skills and the ability and confidence to build strong working relationships. The flexibility and open-mindedness required to adapt quickly to a fast-paced international environment are essential.
About the Role
Our school follows the UK national curriculum to IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme post-16. The successful candidate will be able to coordinate and develop appropriate strategies to assist students with additional educational needs to maximise their progress. Classroom resources are plentiful and expectations are high for achievement for all students. Building and maintaining positive relationships with parents is essential and is a key part of maximising student progress.
