Systems Administrator

The British International School Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, qualified and experienced Systems Administrator to join a well-established and supportive IT team in a highly successful and expanding school.

About the Role
The Systems Administrator plays a central role in the installation and maintenance of the School’s core IT systems. In this position you will be involved in the development of IT strategy to ensure that all IT systems and infrastructure are effective in meeting the needs of the school.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related subject.
  • Microsoft certification (MCSE) or equivalent in relevant programmes.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate or Professional MCITP server.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows server/desktop operating systems, LAN/WAN networking as well as managing in excess of 50 Windows server infrastructure.
  • Ability to deliver training and guidance to staff.
  • Experience of assisting in the selection and deployment of new IT systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.

Selection Process
Applicants should submit a CV, letter of application and the details of two professional referees, one of which should be your current Line Manager.
Early applications are encouraged as interviews and assessments will begin as soon as suitable candidates are identified. We reserve the right to make an appointment before the application closing date.

The closing date for application is 7th Febraury 2020. Interviews will be conducted at the School.
