PTFA BBQ, Open Day, Campus update & CEM

  • New Sports Facilities
  • Open Day PTFA BBQ

Dear Parents and Students

PTFA Barbecue and Open Day

A reminder that classes end at 12:40 tomorrow. We hope that you will return for the annual PTFA Barbecue, which is linked with Open Day for prospective parents.  All parents are encouraged to attend.  Should you have friends or family who are interested in learning more about NAISAK, they are also warmly welcome to join from 14:00 onwards.  It promises to be an enjoyable day for the entire community.  I look forward to welcoming you tomorrow afternoon.

Students realising their Potential at NAISAK!

On Monday 19 February, we will be hosting parent workshops on how we interpret and use the standardised data that we received from Durham University’s Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring (CEM).  For parents of students in Years 1 to 6, the presentation will be held from 18:15 to 19:00 in the Gymnasium.

The data is different in Secondary and we will hold a presentation from 19:15 to 20:00 for parents of Secondary School students, which will also be held in the Gymnasium.  Please note that our current Year 8 students are not scheduled to sit these exams until the start of next academic year, meaning there will not be any data for them to interpret.

The CEM data is useful in that it provides us a baseline measure that we can reference when monitoring students’ progress. We will be sharing this information with parents prior to the event and hope you will be able to attend to learn about how we can work together to ensure your child recognises their potential.

New Sports Facilities

New Sports Facilities

I am pleased to report that we have completed the excavation and the levelling work with our sports facilities that are currently being constructed.  The next stage involves putting in the foundation for the pillars, ensuring we have adequate shade.  The two hard courts will be just over 70 metres long and 20 metres wide, which will be a significant addition to our campus.  Our target date for completion is for the start of the third term.
