Dear Parents and Students
We are hosting a coffee morning Tuesday 8 May where we will provide feedback on the improvements we are making to our curriculum next academic year and beyond. We will also provide other relevant updates and answer any questions that you may have. All parents are welcome to attend. It will run from 07:20 to 08:00.
Part of the feedback will address how we develop our world-class partnerships with both MIT and Juilliard. Both are timely, as we hosted a visit from Ingrid Kapteyn, a dancer from The Juilliard School last week and our Music Curriculum Specialist, Jessica Meyer who joined up and performed together for a special assembly last week.
Additionally, we now have a number of our Year 7 and 8 students attending Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) this week to learn about how Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) work at this prestigious institution.
A well planned, progressive written curriculum is essential for any school that wants to help prepare students to realise their potential and be prepared for life in the twenty-first century. Another essential ingredient is having caring teachers who are able to challenge and inspire their students. I am very pleased to report that we have completed all of our overseas recruitment for next academic year. I look forward to sharing more information about the fantastic appointments we have made in the coming weeks.
