Principal's Message

06 January 2019

Dear Parents and Students

I hope you had an enjoyable and restful holiday break. It was an action-packed and eventful term and this term promises to be the same with mock examinations for Year 11 and Year 12 students taking place, our inaugural whole school production, our annual overseas expedition to Tanzania to name but a few of the upcoming events we are looking forward to. Please visit the calendar on our website to ensure you are aware of upcoming events by clicking NAISAK calendar.

Thank you to all the parents that visited and contributed to our Qatar National Day celebrations during the last week of term. The student performances were of a very high standard and made for an incredibly enjoyable day. Please read the article below, which summarises some of the activities and events that occurred.

A limited number of parents have expressed an interest in having a hard copy of the yearbook, which was sent to you electronically on 10 December. We will be sending an order form home with your children this week to ensure everybody has an opportunity to order a hard copy of the 2017/18 yearbook. The plan is to have the 2018/19 yearbook ready for distribution by the end of this academic year in June.

The consultant that we employed to oversee the development of our purpose built facilities was at school yesterday and confirmed that progress is in-line with the agreed schedule. You can see from the pictures below that the first floor is now taking shape in the secondary school; the roof is being constructed for the changing rooms and the pool is making steady progress.

We are also working on designing the classrooms. I am extremely pleased to report that we have made an agreement with S+B to outfit our science labs. They are a UK based company with an exceptional reputation for providing brilliant equipment. This process has taken months, involved consideration of various suppliers and will ultimately lead to our students learning in sensational labs. Please feel free to visit their website, which has some pictures and a video of the two designs we have agreed upon, which are Spacestation labs and Xeniumlabs. We also have included some pictures below for your perusal.

Parent Satisfaction Survey

Thank you to the parents that have taken the time to complete the Parent Satisfaction Survey. As the closing date is nearing, you are kindly requested to complete the survey so we can have feedback on both our strengths and areas for development. Please click here to share your feedback.

Yours sincerely
Dave Pontich
