Dear Parents and Students
I hope you had an enjoyable end of term break. As mentioned in Mr Nick’s article below, the importance of the partnership between parents and school is critical to our community’s success. A key element of this involves listening to parental feedback. The Primary School article about homework has been created in part due to parental feedback. The Secondary School article is related to feedback received last year, which led to us stepping up our efforts to improve our provision in Science and Technology in particular. It also coincides with our developments with our STEAM programme.
We also recently asked for parental feedback regarding our timing of the day during Ramadan. Although I had a preference for beginning the day at our usual start time of 7:10, our community felt differently.
The results are below:

Unless informed otherwise from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, it is our intention to run the school day from 8:00-1:00 during Ramadan. We will begin these timings effective from Sunday 5 May irrespective of whether or not Ramadan starts on this day.
