In the Foundation Stage we have continued to explore the theme ‘Going on a Bear Hunt’, which looks at using positional language of over, under and through. The children have really enjoyed our learning, making masks, going on a bear hunt and participating in activities requiring them to move through obstacles. We have been also learning to count and recognise our numbers.
This term children will continue to develop routines and are focusing on following classroom rules. They are making friends and enjoying learning through play both in the classroom and outside.
We are developing our understanding of outdoor play by implementing new concepts in building and making using different materials, which helps develop problem solving skills and creativity. We are looking forward to seeing how their play develops through the sourcing of interesting and unusual resources that children can use imaginatively.
