The Reading workshop showcased examples of literature used across Primary and Secondary, and was designed to inform parents about the importance of literature in studies and how it supports with overall academic performance. Information regarding the examination points at both Key Stages was also available in addition to material used for exam preparation. A short video showcasing a speaking and listening activity was played to inform both current and prospective parents about the range of activities used in lessons to support reading development and comprehension. Students could also participate in a BBC News style report to practise their reading and presentational skills. We hope that parents and students now share and understand our values and love of literature.
