As part of the Global Campus Challenge, Nord Anglia have also launched the World’s Largest Lesson. We are partaking in it in Secondary over the last few weeks of the academic year. There is a lot to do to get involved and the students are really displaying their motivation and resilience.
The Year 7s have done presentations in Tutor Time, and they are learning about the global goals in English while conducting a sustainability research project in Mathematics and Humanities.
The Year 8s are looking at sustainable development options and entering essays into a competition in English while learning about the global goals in Humanities.
The Year 9s are also learning about the global goals in English and taking it further in Expressive Arts as they create anthems for the global goals.
The Year 10s are deepening their understanding of the global goals in Global Perspectives so they widen their knowledge of the world and the effects of actions. This is in line with the preparation for their IGCSEs next year.
The Art Department is running a competition to design an advertisement poster for one of the goals that will accompany the two students to New York and be displayed in the UN.
