IGCSE Options Information Evening for Year 9 students and their parents
In Secondary School, we are looking forward to meeting our Year 9 parents and students on Tuesday 9 May at 18:30 in the school’s gymnasium. Please note: we have delayed the starting time to accommodate prayer.
The end of Year 9 represents a milestone in the education of a child in a British-curriculum school. Indeed, our Year 9 students are facing an exciting but also consequential choice as they reach the end of Key Stage 3: while some subjects remain compulsory, they can now select the subjects they want to focus on at Key Stage 4. Our subject offer has increased compared to last year’s, allowing the students to access an even richer and broader academic provision. The IGCSE Handbook as well as the Options Form (both available below) were given to the students last week for them to initiate discussions with their parents, ahead of taking part in further discussions with their teachers during the information evening. We understand that for many parents, this milestone may be unsettling, and will require a lot of thinking and pondering as you start planning the future of your child/ren. As a Secondary team, we are excited to be part of such journey with you and are committed to supporting you towards making the best decision for your child/ren.
Please note, the IGCSE Options Information Evening is prioritised for our Year 9 students and their parents, but all parents are welcome to attend if they wish to start collating information for their child/ren’s future studies.
