We offer a world-leading international education from early years to high school in Vietnam’s vibrant capital.
English-language or bilingual education?
Our two schools are open to both Vietnamese nationals and international passport holders. Choosing between our schools depends on which curriculum pathway you’d like for your child. Here are the main differences:
- While both schools offer British-style education supplemented by internationally respected curriculum models, the British Vietnamese International School Hanoi (BVIS Hanoi) offers a bilingual programme up to the end of primary, following the robust international early years curriculum (IEYC) and international primary curriculum (IPC) in both Vietnamese and English, while the British International School Hanoi (BIS Hanoi) follows the English national curriculum.
- Both schools offer the renowned Cambridge IGCSE curriculum for students aged 14-16 years old. For upper secondary students, BIS Hanoi offers the International Baccalaureate diploma programme (IBDP) while BVIS Hanoi prepares students to take the international A Level examinations.
